Q. Should I register my child as an unaccompanied minor for air travel ? A. Most airlines allow you to register younger children as unaccompanied minors to provide assistance and escort the children throughout the flight process and transiting. Generally any child under 16 and traveling alone is automatically registered. However different airlines have different age restrictions etc. so your best to ask the airline of your choice how this works.
Q. Will you require a visitor visa for entry into Australia ? A. All people planning to holiday/vacation in Australia must have a visa. This may be a visa label in your passport or, for certain nationalities, an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) is available. We recommend contacting your nearest Australian Overseas Mission or Embassy to check the requirements. For more info visit http://www.immi.gov.au/level2/02_visit.htm
Q. What if my child is taking medication or is on a special diet ? A. Ensure you fill out all the details in the special medical needs section or the special dietary requirements section on the registration form or contact our staff directly to discuss individual needs. On arrival the staff will speak to all children on medication and check the dosage and times required or check special diet needs.
Q. How much pocket money will my child need ? A. There is plenty of opportunity for children to purchase souvenirs throughout the program. As all entries and day trips are included in the program package $100 AUD per week should be enough to cover souvenirs, stamps for postcards and other incidentals.
